France Notes No Correlation Between Paris Attacks and Accepting Refugees
Last Friday’s Paris attack by ISIS left many people world-wide in shock and many more in mourning over lost loved ones. The French government says all 129 victims of the attack have now been identified.
An update on the issue includes the following:
According to The Guardian, Interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve commented that the intended target of the raid on St-Denis was the suspected mastermind of the Paris attacks, Abdel-Hanid Abu Oud.
So far, two people have been killed which includes a woman who blew herself up and another unidentified man who was killed by a grenade. Police sources told BFMTV that several days ago, they had placed the woman under surveillance who they had suspected may be sheltering Abduel-Hamid Abu Oud. She is reported to be his cousin.
Seven people have been arrested which include three unknown men who were arrested inside the apartment, a man and woman who were found in the immediate vicinity of the apartment which included the landlord and his female friend, and two others who were found hiding in the rubble.
The raid originally unfolded as the apartment on a small street called rue du Corbillion (2km from Stade de France) was identified as the focus. Then heavy shooting which included automatic gunfire and explosions began at 4:30 a.m.
The result of the seven hour raid resulted in injuries of five police officers and the death of a police dog.
France has declared that it will still remain a country of movement rejecting any correlation between the refugee crisis and Friday’s attacks. France will still accept 30,000 refugees in the following two years.
Heavenly Father, we ask for your peace and strength over those families who lost their loved ones in the Paris attacks. May peace be restored over France going forward, and be there to comfort those in mourning. Let your presence be felt as you touch lives affected by this tragedy, and let hearts turn towards you, Lord.
We pray for global safety and your protection on a daily basis is these terrorist attacks are becoming increasingly violent and frequent. We know that You will protect your people.
We also know that You have not given us a spirit of fear, nor do we wage against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities. We pray that You touch and turn the hearts of those involved in carrying out these attacks. Please make Your presence known and real to them. Turn their hearts towards you, Lord for we know that you can do miracles.
Lord give us peace in our hearts, and may we be comforted by the knowledge that You are our protector. We pray for these attacks to stop, and for peace to be restored.
Grant those in authority wisdom in their decision making.
In Jesus Name,
Please, dear readers, continue to pray over this situation. God hears and answers your prayers. He can do the miraculous. Also, there are a lot of hate crime being committed in response to the situation. God is not the author of such crimes, but He is a God of love. Do not choose to punish many people for the actions of a few.
