North Korea announced that a United States university student was arrested for what they deemed a “hostile act”.
North Korea, according to the student of University of Virginia, entered their country under the guise of a guide. They alleged the student was going to destroy the unity of their country with “the tactic connivance of the U,S, government and under its manipulation.”
The student, Warmbier Otto Fredrick, said North Korea did not state why the student was held or if the offense was explained.
North Korea has toughened its sanction for their nuclear test. North Korea also accused Washington and Seoul of sending spies to overthrow their government.
The U.S. government is now advising against travel to North Korea.
Our Two Cents:
I would like to send out prayers for the student that is being held in this region. They are not a fan of America and I think all need to take heed. Do not put yourself in potentially harmful situations. I can not imagine what the parents are going through, as they wonder what North Korea has in store for their son. One cannot imagine what the son is going through not knowing what the outcome will be, and so many things are going through so many minds.
I sit here and my heart hurts and I will continue to pray for all involved.
James 1:12 – Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Our Heavenly father,
Keep the student and all prisoners in your care. Lord we pray for the families involved. Lord, we know that with you all things are possible. We trust in you in Jesus name we pray
