Now, you are a TV Host and reporter, but, tell us more about Angela…
Originally from Houston, Texas, I am the oldest of four children with a younger sister and identical twin brothers. Coming from a huge family of Texas Longhorn alumni, I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I began my reporting career on the sidelines with Fox Sports Austin.
I love seeking adventure and would say traveling to experience new places is one of my favorite things to do. Growing up in Texas I definitely have a ‘country side’ where I enjoy outdoor sports, camping, hiking and things like going to the gun range. I also enjoy the city life—experiencing the arts, events and getting all dressed up with friends for a night out on the town.
Fitness and healthy living is a big part of my life. I make it a priority to constantly challenge myself through different workouts and feel my best physically. I believe that you are at your best, when you feel your best. (With that said however, I do have a sweet tooth, so the occasional cheat meal is obviously essential and encouraged…anything chocolate!)
What events brought you into a relationship with Christ? How are you using your gift as a TV Host and Reporter to inspire others?
I was lucky to grow up in a Christian home, with a loving and supportive family. At age 16, I attended summer camp where I made the personal decision to put Christ first in everything I set my mind to moving forward.
My faith has definitely influenced some of the content I have covered as a broadcaster. There is so much brokenness, sorrow and division around the world that we see on the news almost daily. Throughout my travels and listening to people of all cultures, I have learned the innate desire that all have to feel respected, loved and heard.
Through reporting, I aim to highlight people, organizations and share stories that can encourage, unite and deliver positive message to viewers.
The name of your company is Eleváre? How long have you been in business? What is the message behind your company’s name?
Eleváre is termed from Latin origin, meaning ‘to elevate, raise or lift’.  The heartbeat of each jewelry collection is to elevate inspirational messages through everyday wear, bringing a luxury look. The ‘Signature Collection’ will first be released for the 2016 holiday season.
Why did you decide to create a line of jewelry? In what way is your jewelry unique from other jewelry makers? In a word, what is significant about your jewelry? What type of jewelry does your line offer?
I initially had the inspiration to create a fashion jewelry line when I appeared on NBC’s ‘Ready for Love’. An audience member from an episode taping noticed a ring I was wearing. That got me thinking about designing jewelry that is stylish, but also able to accentuate faith. And as I spoke about my vision so many people said ‘I want one of those!!’ I started to seek people in the industry and have been lucky to get mentorship from industry veterans that have overseen luxury brands we see today in places like Nordstrom and Nieman Marcus.
I designed a few pieces when Ready For Love was airing on television, but never fully developed the concept. With personal and professional life experiences these last few years, I decided to revisit this from a fresh perspective. Eleváre is that new take!
The collections will offer quality and luxury designs in sterling silver, rose gold, and gold, accented with crystals.
You say the line of jewelry is also working to elevate others. In what way has this been accomplished?
We plan to collaborate with different charitable causes that work to fight issues we see facing women and children today. Whether it is through event collaboration or designing a specific piece of jewelry in partnership with an organization, we plan to use a creative angle through fashion in helping bring visibility to prevalent issues.
You commit to donate a percentage of sales to organizations addressing issues with women and children, such as Vision Africa. Tell us more about this? Why is it so important for any company to give to those in need?
I believe it is important for any company, especially a for-profit entity, to support the greater community in some fashion.
Vision Africa is a charity with branches in UK, USA and Kenya, supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged women through different methods of relief.
Vision Africa currently has a school teaching women textile and domestic skills to start their own business based in Nairobi, Kenya. By purchasing Eleváre, you will also receive a hand-sewn jewelry pouch made with authentic African cloth by one of their students. We plan to donate proceeds from this campaign to help support student expenses, aiming to fund an opportunity that can break the cycle of extreme poverty.
On the website it states: “Eleváre will bring a beautiful new approach to modern jewelry.” Exactly how will this be accomplished?
I desire for this not only to be jewelry, but also equip the consumer as a tool to fashionably express and resonate personal faith.
The logo and branding behind the ‘Signature Collection’ incorporates the Ichthys fish design, derived from when Christians were persecuted in Roman times. With the persecution for people of faith we see today, the jewelry is a fresh way to bring that story back for this generation to wear their faith boldly.
What advice can you give to someone who desires to start their own Christian business? With all the competition in the business world, how can they remain faithful without compromise? During a season of adversity, how can they keep their business afloat without giving up?
If you have the desire to create something and you encounter doubt, you can lean on this, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31.  There are no failures in life; just experiences that you can learn from.
When will Elevare be on the market? How can customers place an order? Where can they go to view your line of jewelry?
Eleváre will exclusively be available online this holiday season at
Should anyone desire to contact you, what is the best method to do so? What are your social media outlets?
