Americans feel unsafe in their own country and question the agendas of their leaders.

The Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Thursday warned that the Justice Department could take aggressive action against people whose anti-Muslim rhetoric “edges towards violence” and told the Muslim community that ‘we stand with you in this.’”
For the average American, the idea of putting an end to the nightmares of terrorism would be a dream come true. What are we doing to make that happen? While it is true that being of the Muslim religion doesn’t make one a terrorist by any means, there is a constant among the extremists and that is the Muslim faith.

What does that mean for America? We clearly see that our Attorney General is on the forefront of supporting this extreme religion that has sent shock waves through our country as well as many others across the globe. One important question to ask ourselves is this: does America feel the support of Washington? Do they feel safe? No one should feel unsafe in their own skin, in who they are or what they believe. In order to make headway in this giant that we face, the American people need to know that they are supported and that they are the priority.

The extreme terrorist groups know that there is a great divide in America right now. We need not give them anymore reason to believe that the fragile parts of us run deeper and wider than one cares to admit. As Christians, we must take a stand, not in violence against another religion but in what is right for our country. Our forefathers founded this country on Christian principles and if we have any hope for a better future for our children, we have to find a way to get back to them. We have to put leaders in place that stand for truth and not political agendas.

We have to speak truth in love and not judgment and we have to stand firm in our convictions in a way that draws people to Jesus, not turns them away! Sin lurks in the deepest parts of who we all are. Not one of us is exempt from that. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that changes, softens and brings about a sense possibility in the midst of what seems impossible! Our only hope really is Jesus!

Our Heavenly Father, we come to you with grief of what is taking place in the world today. We pray that you will give guidance to all and compassion for others. Lord, we pray that everyone will seek you. The Bible says if one knocks you will answer. In Jesus name we pray.
